Sunderland v Dinamo Zagreb live: score, updates and line-ups

Sunderland have kept pressing but Kotarski is standing firm - Xhaka's drive was beaten away, Le Fée saw a shot blocked, and Fofana's effort from the left was superbly saved. The hosts remain well on top with the ball and on the shot count, but with five minutes left plus whatever's added, they still need to find a way past that Dinamo keeper.

Sunderland continue to lay siege to the Dinamo goal without finding a way through. Brobbey had a close-range effort saved by Kotarski before heading another chance wide from Le Fée's cross, and a fresh corner off Goda shows the hosts are still dominant territorially. Dinamo's discipline remains an issue as the fouls tally climbs, but for all Sunderland's pressure and extra shots they still trail 2-0 with time running out.

Sunderland have continued to push hard for a way back into this. Reinildo crashed a header against the post and Danso rattled the bar from the resulting set-piece, while Le Fée forced a good save from Kotarski moments later - the hosts are well on top with 11 shots to Dinamo's 9 and more joy from corners. Brobbey and Ivanusec have both been introduced as both sides freshen things up, but it's Sunderland who look the more likely to find the breakthrough.

Sunderland have started the half brightly and thought they'd pulled one back when Isidor turned home, only for VAR to chalk it off and leave him offside - a cruel blow. They've continued to push, with Angulo and Fofana both involved as the hosts win a string of corners, though Fofana's effort from the latest was blocked. Dinamo are having to defend more now and their discipline is creaking, with Kacavenda booked and the fouls count climbing, but Sunderland still need a breakthrough that counts.

Sunderland made a mass change at the break, bringing on Hume, Sadiki, Le Fée and Reinildo in a bid to freshen things up, but the opening exchanges of the second half have been quiet with no fresh action to report and the stats unchanged from half-time. Dinamo still hold the edge in shots, corners and saves, and Sunderland need to find a spark quickly if they're to claw back this 2-0 deficit.

A tough opening period for Sunderland, who go into the break 2-0 down. Luka Stojkovic opened the scoring from a corner before setting up Dion Beljo to make it two, with Dinamo looking the sharper side despite Wilson Isidor going close for the hosts.
