Lech Poznan v Sunderland live: score, updates and line-ups

Full time: Lech Poznan 1-1 Sunderland. Tutierov's early header, set up by Angulo, had put the visitors in control, and they dominated for long spells, finishing with 25 shots to 16 and 11 on target against six. But Bengtsson's close-range finish from a corner just minutes after coming on cancelled that out, and despite a frantic late push - with chances for Rigg and Méthalie in stoppage time - Sunderland couldn't find a way back through. A point on the road that reflects a performance of real control, even if the result feels a touch harsh on the Black Cats.

Deep into stoppage time and Sunderland are pushing for a winner, with Rigg firing just over and Méthalie denied narrowly by a tight angle as the visitors added another couple of corners to their tally. The shot count has stretched further in Sunderland's favour at 25-16 overall and 11-6 on target, but Lech's late raft of substitutes have kept them in the game and it's still 1-1 as the clock ticks down.

Lech have had their best spell of the night since Bengtsson's leveller, with Gurgul, Wålemark and Palma all forcing smart saves out of Roefs in a frantic few minutes. Sunderland have steadied things since and pushed back through Fofana and Le Fée, whose efforts were blocked, but the shot count has tightened to 23-16 overall as Poznan sense they can find a winner too.

Lech are level against the run of play - Bengtsson, on only eight minutes after replacing Pablo Rodriguez, bundled home from the centre of the box following a corner won off O'Nien. Sunderland still dominate the underlying numbers at 20 shots to 10 and 11 on target to 3, but all that pressure has been cancelled out in an instant.

Sunderland have made wholesale changes but kept their grip firm, with Lis denying Angulo and Mukiele in quick succession before the raft of substitutions arrived just after the hour. Lech have freshened things up too with Palma and Bengtsson introduced, and the latter's header drifted wide of Roefs' goal, but the visitors still lead the shot count 19-8 and 10-2 on target, continuing to look the more likely side to add to their lead.

Sunderland continue to control proceedings after the break, with Fofana and Diarra both going close without troubling Lis too seriously. Lech have had a sniff through Wålemark's effort but it drifted wide, and the visitors still dominate the shot count at 16-7 overall and 8-2 on target, keeping their narrow lead comfortably protected.

Quiet start to the second half in Poznan with the stats barely moving - Sunderland still well on top at 14 shots to 6 and 8 on target to 2. No clear openings to report yet as the visitors look to protect that Tutierov header lead.

Sunderland have regained a firm grip on possession heading towards half-time, now 56.7% to 43.3%, and continue to lead the shot count 14-6 overall and 8-2 on target. The last few minutes have been scrappier though, full of free kicks and fouls around midfield, and Danso picked up a booking at 41' after giving away one too many. Lech still have little to show for their efforts as Lis remains the man keeping them in it.

Sunderland continue to dominate in Poznan. Méthalie and Fofana have both been denied by Lis, while Danso headed narrowly over from a corner, and the visitors have now wrestled possession back level too. It's now 13-6 on shots and 8-2 on target in Sunderland's favour, with Lis the only thing keeping Lech within a goal.

Sunderland have gone for the jugular since that early goal. A frantic spell around the 21st minute saw Fofana crash a shot against the post before Xhaka twice forced good saves out of Lis, with Diarra also denied earlier. The visitors now lead 10-6 on shots and 6-2 on target, and Lis has had to be at his best to keep Lech in it.

End-to-end stuff since that early goal. Lech have responded well through Walemark and Kozubal, both forcing good saves from Roefs, but Sunderland look sharp on the counter with Diarra twice going close and Fofana also testing Lis. Poznan have edged possession back level but Sunderland remain ahead on shots and look the more clinical side.

What a start from Sunderland! Tutierov powers home a header from Angulo's cross and the visitors are ahead inside two minutes in Poznan.
